Super nice job you made of it, Grant, really very well done. I got to see one of these doing a flight routine, at a military base airshow. Actually quite maneuverable, seemed that it handled well.

Likely a couple of twenty five year old guys having a ball, and burning up a few thousand pounds of jet fuel. I heard this thing described as "the worlds most efficient way to convert jet fuel to noise."

Lovely job on this, i really like the finish. I do like the 111, one of my favorite modern aircrfat, aslways brings back memories of when i was a kid, the 111 based at lakenheath were always in the sky's above.

I built a 72nd one at the start of the year and thats pretty big, so i can imagine jst how much of a brute this one is.

Nice finish. She looks great, even if the loadout is somewhat inappropriate for an FB-111A (They were SAC birds, armed with nukes).

I suspect HB was a little liberal with their loadout instructions. The weps are probably more appropriate for an RAAF F-111C, which is externally almost identical to the FB-111A, but with some differences in the intakes. There's a lot of commonality between this kit and the F-111C kit.

The 111 was the plane we had at my airbase while I was in the AF in the late 80's. Such a cool plane in my opinion and a big brute also. And boy can they be loud during takeoff. I worked on all the support equipement for them on the flightline, so I was plenty close them everyday. Awesome!!

One day I gave my instamatic camers to a 111 guy and he took some interesting in-flight shots for me. 

He told me how he used to get used to the T.F.R. system.  He would sit on his hands or put them down the sides of his seat.  It was very dangerous to touch the stick until it was time to take oover the aircraft.  If not careful, you could easily put your aircraft into the ground or the mountain you were over and down.
