Very very nice display of Tom Cats. I love the Tom Cat too and have an Academy 1/48 Bomb Cat in my stash waiting to be built. At the moment I have couple pre-built 1/18 Tom Cats from Merit/JSI on display as in picture below. The small one is 1/72 scale.

All of the ones in the picture are Revell/Monogram. I enjoy building those the most, only because they are less complex. Revell is potentially reworking their molds to update the kit including engraved panel lines, so I'll be building even more!

I find your idea of building all the Tomcat variances fascinating. I assume that you have built many different brands of kits.   Which kit Mfg. did you like the best ?

Thanks for all the kind words. I had a Top Gun jet that was in FSM but it got sold. Since Fightertown came out with their sheet, I'll be doing another Top Gun jet.

Back in the early 90's when Safari brought out the Continental coach, the first one was going to a show in Florida, and they were trying to decide on a mural for the back.

Since Florida had a lot of retired Navy,  I suggested a 'cat taking out a Mig in the Libya shootdown....  Idea nixed, but out mural artist spent two days and ended up with an F-14, and a Nimitz and Tico in the background, looking to be about 20 miles back, but you could still tell what they were.

Canopy rails, pilot was the artist's name and the RIO was Ensign Dream On.

Saw it a year later at the homecoming rally, and it belonged to a retired Admiral........

Some of you have been asking where I keep all of my Tomcats that I get done. I have a wall in my model room that I had my art teacher from my school paint a mural on. Then I got some shelves from Home Depot and I had myself a wall of Tomcats.
