Anyone worked with the Trumpeter 1/32 Warthog kit that came out last year? I'm debating on buying it, and want to know general impressions of the kit. Thanks.

There was a review in the Sept. 2001 issue of FSM. E-mail me your e-mail address, and I'll scan it and send it to you.

I like the kit. Mine's not quite finised yet. The biggest problem with it is that it has a cockpit with less detail than many 1/72 kits! This is an easy fix as there are some nice aftermarket cockpit set out there for it. Try Meteor productions or Squadron.com. Both are FSM advertisers. It's a shame a kit so expensive should have a poor cockpit as this one but this is the only game in town if ya want a 1/32 hog. The weapons are cheesy too, but not as bad as that cockpit... It has two resin engines and while they're not perfect, I plan on adding a little detail and leaving one nacelle open. What I like best is that it's BIG and impressive.

I have the 2 seater version and the detail is terrific. The only problem I see is what bubbamoosecat wrote, that the cockpit detail is nonexistent. I haven't started it yet and am looking for a two seater cockpit version for this model (Verlinden?).
