1:48 T-1 Jayhawk and T-6 Texan II
Posted by mkmarshall on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 6:06 PM

Our model club, the Enid Scale Modelers in Enid, OK, is creating a diorama containing the planes that have flown out of Vance Air Force Base here in Enid since its inception in 1941. The diorama will be part of one of our local museum's temporary displays beginning next spring. We've located all of the models (1:48 scale as required by the museum) except for the T-6 Texan II and the T-1 Jayhawk, the most current planes flying at the base. We have exhausted all the obvious places to look (eBay, Amazon, various on-line ordering sites, our one local hobby shop, etc.) and are wondering if anyone has any other suggestions of places to contact or people to talk to about these two aircraft models. Thanks for any help provided, and thank you for this great forum!

Don't know about current availability, but there is a 1/48 T-6 Texan II:

Don't think there is a 1/48 of the Jayhawk though.

I only found two models of the T-1A.  One is not a plastic kit, it's a 1/48 wood model that sells on eBay for about $150.  The other is a 1/144 kit that looks like it leaves a lot to be desired.  Also, this might help, there are three versions of this plane.  They all look about the same externally.  the civilian model is the Beech 400, also known as the Raytheon 400.  There's the T-1A, and also the T400, which is the Japanese Air Self Defense Force designation for the aircraft.  you might have some luck finding a model kit from a foreign manufacturer of the T400, I'm not sure.
