That's one way to thin the stash. By the way, does anyone have any black eye peas?

She's looking pretty good!

Heck it takes me a day just to go through the stash trying to decide what I want to work on.

New Year's one day build
Posted by Darren Roberts on Friday, January 1, 2016 2:58 PM

When I was young, my dad and I had a tradition of spending the entire day on New Year's building models in the basement. As a thanks for his getting me into model building, I'm continuing that tradition on an annual basis. This year's subject is Hobbycraft's 1/48 A-4B Skyhawk. It is an OOB build to keep things simple. I'm not sure I'm going to finish it because a group of friends are getting together for a Godfather marathon. Believe it or not, I've never seen any of the movies. It looks like I'll get the decaling finished before I have to call it quits. I started the build at 7:00 a.m. This is where I'm at 7 hours later. I'm waiting for the decal on one side to dry before picking it up again. I hope everyone is having an enjoyable New Year's!

Main construction complete.

Up on its gear.

Centerling fuel tank and Sidewinder missiles added.

White primer on and ready for paint.

Masked off and ready for the Light Gull Gray.

Ready for decaling.

One side done.
