I built Kinetics A-6 and EA-6B. Both had issues with the molding. On the EA-6B there was a hole the size of a nickel right on the top center of the back where the styrene did not flow. You can see where I repaired it with the squadron putty in this link:

On the A-6 the port side exhaust on the fuselage was all deformed like the styrene did not flow in the mold. I ended up cutting the area and building it from scratch.

I am interested in the Kinetic C-2A, Has anyone built this? Does it have any issues?

After the a-6/EA-6B issues I am a little hesitant to spend the $$ for it.

I dunno.......I had a horrendous experience with Kinetic and their A-6.  Just an awful kit.  I'd certainly wait a while and see what the build reviews are.  Call me gun-shy on them.

I've heard this too. I have thier Sufa in the box and it looks good but I've read where their F-16 line has some issues. Wondering if they have improved any on some of their more recent releases?

I dunno.......I had a horrendous experience with Kinetic and their A-6.  Just an awful kit.  I'd certainly wait a while and see what the build reviews say before shelling out that kind of cash.  That's not to say it's fair to judge an entire manufacturer on one bad product but.....call me gun-shy on them.  I have their EA-6B in the stash and I keep eyeing it warily.

That said, I have heard some good things about their Sea Harrier.  Could be they're getting their act together.

Sorry to say I dont have the Su-33 but had a good look at one last November and its a great kit. Not see detail as good as that on 1/48 before I don't think. The only place I've seen them for sale is from Japan or Hong Kong retails at about $75 (£50) and its a pretty close call for me to buy it at full retail.

Phil,

Thanks for sharing.

From your comment, it sounds like you have the Kinetic 1/48 Su-33? If so, what is your thoughts on this kit? I've been waiting for it to show up here in the US.

Just seen on their Facebook page they are bringing out an F-18, if its anything like their Su-33 it will be a very nice kit. As soon as I hear any more I'll post here
