A pair of 1/48 Skyhawks
Posted by Darren Roberts on Saturday, January 30, 2016 9:11 PM

I finished up two more Skyhawks in my quest to build one A-4 from every manufacturer. I only have the Hasegawa left. The two completed here are the ESCI A-4E and the Hobbycraft A-4B. I got a new lightbox today, so I tried it out. I still need to play with the lighting, but I must say editing the photos was much easier. I still think I can make them a bit brighter, but I don't want to wash them out. I'll keep playing around and see if I can get a good combination. Anyway, here they are. First up is the ESCI in VA-127 markings that I cobbled together from the spares box. The second is the Hobbycraft kit with Superscale markings for VA-22 assigned to fighter duty on a CVS carrier. It looks strange with Sidewinders on it!

Both of them look really nice!

I'm waiting on Hasegawa's 1/48 TA-4F that I plan to build for a friend of mine who used to work on them as a Plane Captain back in 1969.

Oh yes sir! I also have a soft spot for the A4 and have the Hasa 1/48 E/f waiting for me.
