Opinions on two Trumpeter 1/32 kits
Posted by goldhammer on Tuesday, February 2, 2016 2:30 PM

I posted this up in the general discussion page and Toshi replied.

Hoping for some more input before I pull the trigger on Trumpeter !/32 F6F-5 and the F8F-1 kits they have out for future builds.  Opinion and/or good/bad on either welcomed.

I loved the Bearcat kit and seems to be fairly accurate.  However the Hellcat is a different story.  It has to be the most inaccurate and disappointing Trumpy kit that I have. The fuselage aft of the cockpit is totally wrong, the top spine being way too curved.  to me the shape of the engine cowl also seems too tapered at the front bottom.  An extremely detailed kit but the overall shape of the Hellcat is off.  The Hasegawa Hellcat looks accurate but lacks the detailin.  Just my two cents.
