Thanks for explaining it-- I thought it was weird that it looked like it wasn't fitting, but there was no mention of it in the article. (And my experience with the fit of the Airfix kits has been great!)

Yep! I see it. Probably because I never glued it down. I just pressed it in because it fit so well. Just a bit of white glue and a lick of paint and done. Points off in a contest, I suppose, but this is not a contest.

are you sure, it looks fine in that pic, but if you look at the picture right below it on the article, there is a noticeable gap between the front windscreen and the fuselage.

Is it an optical illusion, or does the windshield fit poorly on the new Airfix Wildcat?  

I'm asking based on the photo of the review build model on page 54 of the March issue.....
