1/48 Monogram F-100D

Here's the classic 1/48 Monogram F-100D built completely out-of-box. It was painted with Model Master Acryl for the SEA colors and Alclad Metals for the engine area. Decals were sourced from the spares box. Unfortuntaly, when I went to paint the canopy, I realized there was a big air bubble smack in the middle of it, rendering it useless. While I'm waiting to source a new one, I figured I'd go ahead and post it sans the canopy. I recently purchased a lightbox, and all I can say is that it makes photographing models a much more pleasant experience.

Nice looking Hun you have there. I think they look better in SEA camo.

That looks great!  I've built that kit as well, and I know what it takes to get those sort of results.  Bravo! Bow Down

Darren,

That looks great!! I'm new to modelling and I don't know much but your paint job looks awesome. Did you paint the camo free hand or did you mask it off? Either way bravo sir!!
