I built a re-tooled Airfix Hurricane and was blown away at that kit, so I am really going to want to put this B17 on my list.

A friend went to that trade show in Europe and saw the proto type builds of the B-17 and Defiant and said it will be worth the wait!!!!

I recently picked up the all NEW HE-111 they released and it is every bit a fantastic kit!!!

Can't wait to build it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

RobS just built the P for the 39-40 GB. Looks like a really nice kit and seems to go together really well. Got to get one of those myself.

I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

The easiest way I've found is to get model number and look it up on Scalemates. They tell you if it's new tool or a re box

Yea but where do you get em?  i see lots of Arfix kits online but how do you know if it's the new ones ? Same goes for RoG.  I've looked in Squadron and a few other reputable online Hobby shops and they never mention the"new tooled" kits.

If it's anything like they've been turning out should be good! Gonna have to add it to the pile.

Ye, that does seem like a nice kit. Its also suppose to be getting released with some USAAF ground equipment as was the case with their lancaster.

Been reading on a future release of a new tooled 1/72 B-17G from Airfix, kit # A08017. Looks like it should be a more detailed model than the ROG. was about to get the ROG but I think I will wait for the Airfix to come out in October.
