Thanks Bob. I find photo's very useful and quite often i get my inspiration for a dio from photo's even if the dio is not directly based on a pic. Sometimes i will see a photo and just think, yep, i have to do that.
I hope you can get around to that StuG soon.

Bish Thnaks Hunter, glad you enjoyed it. Hopefully you will enjoy my next one even more.

WOW BISH -
Absolutely outstanding build and dio. Such great attention to detail, and the paint and weathering are amazing! I really enjoy watching your builds and the commentary of your subject. Bravo Sir, Bravo!
Ok guys, time to wrap this build up. First some pics of the finished thing before i added it to the base. The final touches was simply to add the canopy, propellers, cannon and wires. I also added a bomb under the right wing. Its a metal bomb and rather heavy, so it fell off a couple of times before i was finally able to secure it.
And the finished ground vehicles.
I based the dio on some pics i found. In a couple of them the guys are useing a wooden carrier to move the bombs to the aircraft. So i made one from some balsa wood and gave it a brush with some oil paints.
Here is a couple of the pics i found.
And this is my take on it. I found some figures which were close to what i wanted and either altered them or fitted different arms than intended to get the pose i wanted.
Thanks all for following along and for all the comments. Next up, i am going to take a little change of direction and build some armour.
Alright, it really made the bottom of the fusilage pop...Again, it looks amazing!
Thanks Hunter. Flory washes are really nice to use, but you can only get them direct and they are in the UK. But they have really good shipping rates. The X-19 i apply neat and then just build it up until its how i want it.

It looks great....really like the wash and staining you applied. The XF19, is that a 80/20 of thinner and paint? It looks amazing Bish.
Thanks Toshi, not much left to do now.
That is a fantastic job you're doing on this build. I can't wait to see the final product.

Just a short update as i am almost at the end of this build. With the decals on, i use some flory wash top give a slightly grubby look, Tamiya XF-19 for some exhaust stains and a coat of clear matt.
The base got some grass added once the celluclay was dry.
And the ground equipment was painted and dry brushed and just needs a bit of wear and some dirt.
Just got a few bits to add, sort the figure sout, the fun part, and get it all on the base.
Thanks crown, and will be looking forward to seeing that.
Looking good once finish up with the E4 and a 66 GTO I'll start on the Gloster Meteor for The 1946 GB
Nick.
Thanks T.B.
Bish !
That's what I've come to expect from you . Fine work and very good building .Keep on Keepin on ! T.B.
Thnaks G. I had thought to mask and spray the yellow edges. But when i looked at some pics i saw they were not to neat, a bit like D-Day strips, so decided to hand paint.
Wow, you're moving right along there Bish, camo looks good and those yellow leading edge stripes I hate so to paint turned out very well.
Thanks Martin.
Great work so far, Bish on a cool subject! Looking forward to seeing her completed.
Cheers

Thanks Hunter. I actually used a putty mask this time and was pleased with how it came out, a nice soft edge, which i think is just right in this scale.
Looking great Bish...Another great paint job!
