1/144 Dragon SR-71 (finished)
Posted by fermis on Monday, February 22, 2016 12:10 AM

Being tiny...the pit is very weak...

No good!

I scratched up new seats, IPs, stick, side consoles.

Been working on it, off and on, for a while now and have it painted.

Started with solid black, then "marbled" it with white. Then went over it with thin coats of very dark grey (black with just a touch of white).

Looking very nice Fermis, very nice. Man I can't believe how small that pit is. I don't believe I could assemble something so small right now. The paint is outstanding and well detailed. Will be watching sir.

Yessir.....went down to 1/72 almost exclusively(some smaller, some bigger), probably just after you went on hiatus.

Glad you're back with us! All is well, I hope?!!!

Tiny cockpit isan understatement. The kit still has some size to it. Really nice look on the color.

Fermis,

Another fantastic build! I can't get over how small that cockpit is! Great job!

Fermis, that bird is badass!  Well done. =]  ...and tiny! Screw that cockpit!!  I don't want any part of that headache. =]  You're shooting way under par with that scratched out office. Black is a hard color to pull off well.  I think you just showed everybody here how it's done.

Thanks for sharing.
