Thanks for the info!  Sprue Brothers has their Eduard sets on sale this weekend so I ordered one of each!  I appreciate the input.

Eduard does make etch and superfabric WWII US seatbelts suitable for a corsair or hellcat, as well as your aforementioned RAF early and late bets in superfabric.  The superfabric and etch sets look really nice but are difficult at best to build, the printed on superfabric belts don't take a wash as nicely or look as convincing to me, but are dirt simple to install.

From what I remember reading late style harness were '44 45? The aircraft you mention would not have the late style harness. Not sure about FAA Corsairs or Hellcats. Probably US. style

My modeling shelf looks like a Berlin airfield circa 1937-1945 so I thought I’d infuse a little British flavor into my next few builds over the coming months.  I noticed Eduard has “late” and “early” RAF seatbelt sets.  Which version would I use for something like a Spitfire Mk Vb or Mk VIII?  I also have a 1/48 Hellcat Mk II and Corsair Mk II to eventually hit the production line but I imagine those belts would be USN style restraints?  Lastly, is there a specific year when the transition from “early” style restraints to “late” was made?  My entire life’s interest in aircraft has been enveloped by Luftwaffe subjects so I’m really branching out here!

Thanks for the help!
