Need a 1/48 P-51D windshield
Posted by Don Eisenhart on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 11:14 AM

Howdy all,

After finishing, or almost finishing my Tamiya P-51 build, I found the darn windshield has come off, and is in never never land.

Can anyone supply me with a spare?

Thanks,

Don

Don, I think you can find one at Squadron.  They have all types and sizes.

Thanks guys.  I am thinking of buying a kit off of e-bay just for the clear parts.  It would cost less, and at least I would have some spare stuff.

We should have a "swap meet" forum.

Contact Tamiya for a replacement. They have excellent customer service.

I wouldn't waste your money on buying another kit just to replace a lost canopy. I second that on contacting Tamiya Customer Support. If that's not your forte, buy aftermarket canopy.

Thank you all.  A fellow brother here offered to send me one, which I accepted.

Then, somehow, I did find my windsield, at the foot of my bench, INTACT.  It should have have been crushed underfoot.
