Yeah, the little bit of buzz that I could find wasn't favorable. It's also designed for another kit. I figured if I could get the engines to work and the gun turret then I would be ok.

Thought I would update what's going on. I faired in the gun platform,  but modified the radar from the "H" with some milliput which got it closer to right than the resin set. I couldn't find a source for the flir sensors so I broke out the milliput again. I still have to sand out the final shape, them on to paint.

Your conversion looks amazing, detailed, and thought out.  I'm glad that at the very least you were able to use the engines.  It looks like you're heading in the right direction even with some of these issues.  I'll be watching with great interest!  Thanks for sharing.

Finally got the paint scheme complete except for the flap and gear bays. Man this thing ate up some tape! I still need to get the engines together and painted.

I am calling this one complete. It represents "Miss Piggy " of the 97th Bombardment Wing based in Blytheville, AR, around the 1980 timeframe. The decals are from the kit, with the razorback on the tail captured from the internet, resized, and printed on white decal paper. It's not as weathered as it should be, so some obvious repainting on the tail was not reproduced. The flir sensors under the nose are too far forward, and not totally identical to each other. All in all, I'm satisfied,  but if I ever find the Revell "G", I will definitely build it as I understand that it has Eaker AFB markings from a later timeframe.

Nice...I have this is the stash and 1/144 seems to be a manageable scale...I'm thinking of going with the early version but that SEA scheme is tempting...
