About 20 years ago a bunch of the Revell and Monogram kits from the early 60s and 50s were rereleased. I have a white HU-16 and one done in orange plastic. Some of them were done in the original color plastic e.g. silver, navy blue, white, OD etc. Some were in "odd" colored plastic. During the oil crisis in the mid 1970s there was also some odd colored plastic kits produced. The orange HU-16 is an example and there were also some odd colored plastic kits produced by other manufacturers, e.g. an orange Hawk Banshee and white U-2. I even have an aircraft kit in very light blue from that period. The ball and swivel stand with a "globe" base was provided in many of the Revell kits of the 50s and 60s.

I have two copies of the Revell P-26 kit, both in yellow. They don't have the stand, though, and I don't know if that kit ever had it, as these don't have the socket in the belly to fit one.

I found a yellow plastic ball, made by Revell which was part of the ball/socket design back in the early 1950 s. Question: what was the aircraft type that Revell made that has the yellow plastic? I recall silver, grey & white kits by Revell, but a bit stumped by the yellow kit made by Revell. Any ideas on the type of plane?

Thank you,
