My wife sent me this photo of a Skyhawk that is near the museum at China Lake. If you look at the nose, it looks kinda odd. Not sure that it wasn't just stuck on there on a whim.

Something to do with a test bed for the radar seeking nose of an ARM. They called it a "Krozny nose". I don't know why. Where's tarnship when he's needed?

There used to be a lot of ramp queens there at China Lake- old test subjects and such that seemed to be virtually abandoned- awaiting scrap I guess, and they really weather under that desert sun. I have long thought of duplicating one of those old birds with flat tires, terribly faded markings and the canopy crazed and fogged from the UV.
