Finished this model Sunday, and today was decent weather (I take all model pictures outside in sunlight, so I got a couple of pictures to post. The conversion is from KAE, consisting of vacuform fuselage and resin propeller. Donor kit was the Revell 1:48 P47N. Since the later had squared tips I needed to graft new tips to wing. Model isn't great, reminds me of RC days with "standoff scale". But from a few feet away it doesn't look too bad.
This is the Mopar Thunderbolt (experimental version with Chrysler hyper engine) featured in Chrysler ads about a year ago.

that looks nice right out of the factory
Nick.
You put a lot of scratch building into this kit and it shows. Absolutely fantastic!

If I remember correctly, that was Chrysler's very first hemi-spherical combustion chamber design for an engine.
You did a great job, Don! I didn't realize there was a kit out there for this, conversion or otherwise.
