AMK 1/48 Fouga Magister
Posted by SubarooMike on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 4:08 PM

Hello gentlemen.   Does anyone have the new AMK Fouga Magister in their possesion?  I was wondering how the fit, molding, PE, etc is.   If it does not have a propeller, it normally does not interest me; however, I am a sucker for old jets.  This kit DOES have my attention. A lot of model in a small package.

Oh for gosh sakes buy it. Whats the choice? This a/c gets no love, a bad run of stuff in 1/72 and worse in 1/48.

Maybe the Kinetics kit is better, maybe the same kit. My vote, buy it now while it lasts.

As for the prototype, that is a very nice airplane. I saw one at Reno, and the whole history of the tank buster effort in the 6 Day war.

Modeling is an excuse to buy books.

Little correction needed here!

1/72...the Special Hobby (MPM molds) Magister/Zephyr is a great kit!

Can't speak for anything in 1/48th....other than having seen a couple builds that looked really good.

Well it turns out the post man will be delivering it to me on April 5th!  I was texting my fiance about it while she was at work yesterday. When she got home she  informed me the order has been placed Cool   I amexcited to say the least!     There is a guy selling them on eBay for only $23.99!!    I'm excited to see the quality of the white metal parts.  The who tray of them!

About 10 years ago, when I was 13 or so, I built  Hellers 1/72 offering.  Ive been meaning to get another. I think this will fill the hole in my heart lol
