I have three-views of a WW2 drone, pre-firebee, somewhere.  I have been thinking of scratching it, though in a larger scale than 1:72.  Those early drones were pretty small.  Can't put my hands on those drawings now, will look for them.  The stuff I had was on the drone powered by the Twin McCullough 2-cycle, which a lot of folks used in homebuilt autogyros.

Hello!

The German Airmodel company has some vacuum-formed firebees:

I even started building one of them, and that could be a perfect first vacu model for you, if you didn't try that before - and if you want to try it now. Luckily they aren't too expensive!

I hope it helps, good luck with your builds and have a nice day

Paweł

A 1/72 target drone. These days you should by a 1/72 kit of a F-16A in blocks 1 to 15. Turn it to a QF-16A.

Get a recent satellite photo of Davis Monthan AFB pick a plane sitting around and its your drone.

Chasing the ultimate build.

1/72 Target Drones?

I've always been interested in target drones.  I know there's a few in 1/72, but none for sale nowadays.  I'm considering hand-crafting one out of metal and balsa.

But, if any of you have a 1/72 Ryan Firebee/Firebee II that is not put together (still in the sprue),  I'll be glad to purchase it from you.

How many of you hand-crafted an item that you could not get?  I'm considering hand-crafting a MQM-33.  How long (in inches or centimeters) would 10 feet be in 1/72 scale?
