Moon,

I have a small amount of reference on this bird, a couple of magazine articles and some misc stuff. No actual color schemes, though. The best I can tell, many of the Soviet SB-2's had schemes of green over light blue. I've also seen several that are in winter camo, with white applied over the green, leaving the blue visible.

Some of the Spanish and Czech SB-2's had what appear to have been pretty wild schemes on them, but I don't know much about these.

The Finns captured some SB-2's it seems, and the one I've seen appears to have been repainted in a "standard" Finnish Air Force Scheme.

if you find any of these to be interesting and need any further info, I can dig a bit further for 'ya.

Wolf is on the trail!

Thanks everyone for Your help. The reference material, I have found myself, is very sparse and contradictionary. I think, I'll just choose standard russian winter camo - slacked lime (I think, only russians have used it to paint aircraft) over green surface. This plane is very beautiful itself, and it should look even better on skis. Pitty that there are no good kits in 72d scale. The one i have (old one from NOVO) is awful. On the other hand - I'll have somebody other than myself to blame if I spoil the kit :)
thanks again
