Hey Gang, Here's another Russian thing in my collection. Another low detail inexpensive Revell that looks good at a distance and meets the requirements as decor in my office. Not one to take to the show. Mig-25s are impressive in that they were the fastest fighter ever produced. Mach 3+. Built mostly from steel they needed monster engines. Crude indeed but darned fast!

Added top shot-Different camera test.
Very nice builds, I love the camoflauge Mig!

Thanks Toshi, I forgot to add the quote about the Mig-25.
"Even a brick will go supersonic with a big enough engine."
LOL.
PS--check those exhaust nozzles compared to the Mig-29!
Nice paint job, me likes.
But the MIG-25 was NATO code named "Foxbat" and was mach 3, built to counter the B-70 and the SR-71, not the MIG 31
Lot of titanium in the -25 as well.
Oops you got me.....It is a Mig 25, what was I thinking! Age will be my excuse today.
Thanks for pointing that out! I got it changed. There was a story of a Syrian Mig 25 vs a SR-71. The SR-71 throttled up and the Foxbat took chase at over Mach 3. The Migs engines were so badly damaged after a very short run that the Foxbat returned to base and never flew again. Subsequently most Mig 25s were limited to speeds under Mach 3.
No biggie. If that is the only mistake I make at my age, I'll feel good for awhile.
Still a nice build.
Hey Goldhammer, Thanks for your forgivness on the number thing! I think one of the big fun parts of modeling is that when you've finished you know quite a bit about the craft you are modeling through all the research we do on painting, performance, use and history. Just an added bonus of building models.
"I can outrun any Mig-25 Foxbat". Max in the SR71 cockpit.
Check it out at the Boeing Air Museum in Seattle! Wow, what fun! (I couldn't resist)
