Hasegawa F-104C Starfighter 1/48

Toshis new F-104 project reminded me of a photo I took a few years back of a Hasegawa 1/48 F-104C Starfighter that I built even longer ago. What a cool aircraft for its time! I did get to see a fine example of one in the USAF museum in Dayton. I'll try to find it!

Ah, found it. It's also a F-104C and only 14 numbers off. Gang, if you ever get a chance to go to this museum, DO IT! Aircraft mecca! Hundreds of one-of-a-kind stuff.

A couple of more teasers--What a museum! Snark, twin mustang (two versions), B-58 Hustler with B-36  in background--Wow! Excellent Website for reference--Check it out! (more if you are interested--Don't want to bore you!)

Very nice model!

I have enjoyed that kit three times so far!

And, yes...the museum is amazing. I've been twice. My third trip will be on my own, or with a fellow model nerd. You already know that the B-36 is a big plane...but when you realize you've been looking at stuff for half an hour, and you're STILL underneath that thing...WOW!!!

I love the F-104. I can remember when I was a kid I always wanted to fly one... Until I met the F-15, that is ;-)

Great build, by the way.

That's one sharp looking F-104! Yes

And yeah the Dayton museum is amazing, I've only been once- I need to get back there some day...

Wow, very nice build.  The NMF is excellent!  Thank you for sharing those pics.  That is just awesome!

I'm building a Starfighter myself; Testor's reissue of the old Hawk kit. Definitely not up to snuff alongside the higher-quality kits.
