OK, just for you Toshi, the B-25. A nice kit with lots of detail. It's just my standard clean build like you would see in a museum. All the glass is hand painted with a really fine brush so don't be too critical. I usually do 1/48 scale exept for monster bombers. I don't remember how this one slipped in. It was a fun build even with my size Large hands!

Ok, Max, I'm going to be critical... How did you paint by hand the glass? And on a 1/72 scale plane??? I am absolutely amazed and in awe! You sir deserve an ovation! Bow Down

Outstanding build!

Hey thanks Andy and Bruce. You do have to be steady. I use acrylic paint and a good teeny brush. The paint is thinned to your taste. It's hard to keep the brush from drying out and you have to keep on top of it by constant thinning and adding water to the brush. The brush has to be cleaned every few minutes. The paint sets quickly and mistakes can be trimmed up with a sharpened round tooth pick by using the proper pressure and pushing against the moulded line. The thin paint usually needs more than one coat. It takes a little practice but I'm better at this than cutting masks.

Wow, nice super neat clean job there. I wish I could do canopies a tenth as well, tried painting them the same way and ended up with a mess.

Hi Max,

Love the work and am glad to hear you used the hand painted technique on the glass frames.  You cannot beat a steady hand and a good detail brush.  On 1/72, its about the only way I can do mine as well, its jsut too hard trying to cut masks that small and get them aligned.  I cannot tell, did you do the inside frames as well?

Great job!

That's a trick I've used before as well. But in combination with masking lol. I never seem to mask things very well.

Do my eyes decieve me, or is that the Monovell/Revelogram P-40 I see in that picture? That's a kit I could do over and over again. Good lines on that kit. You even painted that scrawny pilot I see, lol.

You're very observant Mike. I bought that kit for near nothing and started on it. The Chinese made pieces were just awful and I just put it in the trash can in my office. I saw it a few days later, dug it out and decided to take the challenge. I even used the goofy pilot. My heart wasn't in it but it came out OK. lol! I'll try to shoot you a picture of it.
