Rotor wing GB feeler
Posted by Theuns on Monday, July 18, 2016 8:11 AM

Will there be any interest in s GB dedicated to any form of rotor wing craft....basically any aircraft where the "wings" move faster than the rest of the airframe :-)

It can be auto gyros, helos, even some weird ideas like the WW2 FW-Triebflugel, the F-104 with the rtiangular rotary wing ect.

It would start say The first of August 2016 and run for lets say 4 months.

So, any one interested?

As always, Theuns, I'm in. I have a Hobby Boss Mi-2 that I'd like to do. It'll be a very quick build as the part count is very low and it's one colour. I'm in.

I have been eyeing the Italeri 1/48 Westland wessex HAS3 for some time now...

Lets see if ww can get another 5 people and I will start the thread in the GB section.I might just call it the "Fling-wing GB"

Like I said, it is not only helos, all rotorcraft welcome :-)

You could put me down for a 1/32 Huey if this group build ends up being a go.

Theuns

I have several helos in my stash so I'm very interested and will give me the excuse to build one but my only concern is the short run time you suggested since my modeling time has been recently limited. Any possibility to  expand it to let's say a 12 month period if you get enough participation? If not then I will understand.

Too many models to build, not enough time in a lifetime!!

OK, so I count 6 rotor wing builders sofar...I think it justifies a GB :-)

As for the time frame, I do understand that it feels a little short but I have found that anything over 4-5 months sometimes becomes "watered down" a little.

I will make it from 1 Aug 16 till 31 Dec 16.
