Wow, that's beautiful! And yes I've stuck my finger in wet paint and had to sand it out too.... Bang Head

Hi

Thanks Toshi

So, I finally finished the assembled and move on with the painting, due to the complex of the decals I only painted overall areas, it did had to be perfect as some of the decals will blemish or cover the color changes.

So here it is completely painted, with MrHobby satin acrylics. I want it to shine!! Cool

And here it is after the first coat of high gloss varnish...

And then....disaster .... Angry I was not careful and I accidentaly touch it before the varnis dried and made a huge blob...

I will have to sand it and repaint that area....what frustration.

Afterwards I will put another coat of varnish and polish it smooth...then add the decals...and finally 3 more layers of varnish and final polish.

So far so good.

See ya...

Don't you hate sticking your finger into the nice paint job and leaving a huge fingerprint?

Been there, done that, got the T-shirt.

That's a great build thus far and you really took the time out to get it right.  Everything looks fantastic!

Hi everybody,

So, here it is...afte some well deserved vacations in Can Cun. Paradise

it is all assembled, seam lines smoothed and I just need to clean the whole body and then prime it....I made a mistake with the wing fuel tanks...it is very easy to mess it up and in fact i ended it having one upside down...I was able to fix it before glue set in.

Next steps, finish the cockpit, prime it and then figure out how to paint accordingly to the decals..see you around.

Anyway, I did had a lot of problems on the fitting of the halves of the fuselage and specially the front wheel "thing"...I had to carve out and sand out a lot of the sides to make it fit.

As you can see I will have to basically fill out everything with putty.

Strange...I've built 3 of these kits and have had no issues...nearly perfect fit! Maybe that one was made on a Monday???

I love air show aircraft with these wild paint schemes! Very cool and I'm looking forward to more progress.

Thanks guys...Im leaving the decals on the direct sunlight, it should bleach them.

Its been only for about 1 day and I think they are becoming whiter.

...my only concern is, that the decals look "beige" instead of white...not sure if its because of the decal film and will turn to white aftwerwards.

I wouldn't worry about it. I think true white might be a bit too stark. Once you have the contrast with that blue, it oughtta look just right!

Carry on and enjoy that kit...it's a good'n!

This should be fun.  I have those markings in 1/32, haven't got that project on top of the list yet.

Hi to everybody.

I wanted to build an "exhbition" plane, shinny, clean, smooth...no weathering at all.

My focus is on paint job and perfect built. I looked at several kits in my local Hobbystore...there are liks 4 or 5 different versions of this model from a meeting.

If finished correctly, should look awesome...my only concern is, that the decals look "beige" instead of white...not sure if its because of the decal film and will turn to white aftwerwards.
