The only prep work was polishing whatever scratches or mold marks are on the canopy. No dipping in future or anything. I got away from canopy dipping and just polish the canopies instead. But I will place thread on my technique in the future....no pun intended Big Smile

Thanks Brindos,

The canopy is actually gloss but the tint gives it a satin look. depending on the angle you are looking at it. I applied a light mist of Gold and copper Alclad to the inside of the canopy for the tint. I do all my f-16's the same way.

Sweet! No other prep work? Be interesting to see this step by step.

That finish is gorgeous! I really like how you did the canopy. You've got it tinted, but its a satin finish on it instead of gloss. What blows my mind is that its not fogged!

How in the world did you do that???

I have had this revell 1/48 F-15E that was missing parts for awhile. I decided to turn her into a "what if" test bird for the F-15 Silent Eagle program. Thank goodnes for the spare parts bin and decal bin. All in all a pretty fun build and a model saved from the parts bin/bench mule status.
