Super Model MB-339K Veltro2

I bought this from a clubmate many years ago, failing to realize this is the one off, single seat prototype. So I put it on a shelf behind my hobby room seat and there it sat for several years.  As I was wrapping up my last kit I took out the box and began tinkering with the parts. And the rest is history.

The kit was fully rescribed. The flaps dropped. The cockpit revised and the bang seat detailed. Access panels were opened. The nose gear was corrected and gear wells detailed. All were done from scratch. I was nervous about the decals having sat there for years, but thankfully they worked fine.

Comments always welcome.

Allan my friend, what an amazing find.  That is one of the most unique aircraft I've ever seen.  It's always that little gem stuck in the back that comes out shinning, and you did just that, what a fantastic build!

I love the camoflauge motif and the cockpit is just outstanding.  What a stupendous build you've done!  A couple of questions, what paint brand did you use and are there any PE that's been utilized?  Thank you in advance.

Toshi,

Thank you for the kind words!

I use Gunze lacquers almost exclusively on all my builds, save for figures. The only PE parts I used are actually 1/700 PE ship ladders that I used as vents on the dorsal portion of the fuselage. All other upgrades are from scratch.

I just love this plane and what you've so skillfully done to it.  I heartily second Toshi's comments and just like to add...WOW !

Oh wow, that is sharp work esp the camo, dropped flaps, and open access panels. Yes

This is beautiful! I've not seen one before, so that makes it new to me, but that camo is very well done. Love what you did with this build.  :D

Thought I'd already commented on this one....  Hmm.

Really well done Allan. Supermodel kits are not usually the easiest to build but you nailed it

Gorgeous model! Something a little different, too.
