I like the way this is coming together Toshi, good job so far but you might want to take greater care with the 'glue blobs "

I have a biscuits and gravy story as well;

As a Northern boy touring in a Southern band I never had biscuits and gravy and the thought of it turned me off, so the band manager said" we'll have to remedy that"

Early in the morning, at a campground festival we where performing, he made a fire, drug out all the fixins and the largest frying pan I ever saw. Then he proceeded to make "cat head hand squashed " scratch made biscuits and the best sasuage gravy I ever tasted to this day....on a campfire.  Boy I didn't know what I was missing and have been a  b & g fan ever since.

I'm finally retired. Now time I got, money I don't.

I will take greater care with the "Glue Blobs".  Thank you for sharing the biscuit and gravy story, it sounds delicious!

Coming together nicley tehre Toshi. I have been getting into scratching the last couple of years. Stared off with a few small bits here and there and then did a complete scratch on the rear compatments of both fuselages on an he 111Z. I really enjoyed that and not as hard as i had expected. Keep it up.

And while your all talking biscuits, this is how we treat them and is the only time a real biscuit should go anywhere near a liquid.

Tosh the Hellcat is looking great!!! Looking forward to it having paint on it!!! Your scratchbuilding looks great as well. I have tried it on a couple of my models, but nothing drastic like cutting up the model. Not sure I am ready to make that leap. That being said I am about to put together Revells Titanic for my mom. She loves the movie. There is a section that doesn't line up right that the only way I see to fix it is to cut and re do it. oh well thats for another thread.

Bish I forgot all about those biscuits. When I was station in Scotland at Holy Loch I had them and they are good. Ohh the food I miss from England.

I was in Hobby Lobby yesterday looking for a staple that they don't carry, whilst perusing the plastic shelf saw your Hellcat on the shelf and of course immediately thought of our busy friend building away in Ohio. Why I didn't buy it, I don't know. Maybe next time. Could be my first adult adventure into 1:72, and you could be my co-mentor, along with Bish and Joe Rix.

Bish, your biscuit pic made me laugh! Thanks!

Johny, I was at the Nats last year and didn't go to the museum. Still kicking self. 3 days you spent there? Really kicking now.

Jay Jay, great buscuit/gravy story.  Who'd a thunk to cook them over a campfire?

Great job so far on the Hellcat, I love those Academy kits. Can't wait to see this one done.

I too love biscuits and gravy, but they're not good for my belly, daily runs and workouts. You should try chicken and waffles.

Thank you very much Bish!  This is the first time I attempted to scratch build a cockpit.  I did scratch build the antennae of my Testors 1/72 F4U-1 Corsair, it turned out ok!  Not great nor fantastic, just ok.  It was stretched sprue.

As always, thank you!

P.S.  When I lived in Saint Andrews, Scotland, we had tea and biscuits as such during tea time.  A very nice time spent with great company!  We should have that as such in the USA.  Everything we do here is now, now, and then immediately now!!!  LOL!

Thank you sir!  I have a few questions in regards to the BBC tele.

Do they still have:

Black Adder, Wogan, Neighbors, East Enders, Top of the Charts, Hello Hello, and my all time number one favorite Ab Fab "Absolutely Fabulous"?  Thank you in advance!

Here is the completed Academy 1/72 F6F-5 Hellcat.  Besides the perfect fit and finish, I really had a great time building the Academy 1/72 series set.  I will continue to build the Academy 1/72 sets as long as I can or as long as it's available at Hobby Lobby.  Thank you forum members for following my builds!  I highly enjoyed building these kits!

Toshi,

I really like your trio in 1/72. Iconic aircraft all. I have said before that I usually don't bother looking at 1/72 builds since 1/48 is what I do and I don't have the steady hands or eyesight for working in the smaller scale - however it's always interesting to look in on your speedy builds. What's next?

Thank you sir!  I'd like to add much more 1/72 aircraft to this series!  My next build is a 1/72 F-35A Lightning II!  Another that I can add to my slowly growing collection of 1/72 aircraft.
