That's some nice work!

And big as the F6F is in 1/48th she must be a monster in 1/32nd.

Thanks Gamera,I'm finding the older I get ,the bigger the better. I did a very easy Airfix 1:72 P-51 for my grandson this summer and it almost killed me.

It looks outstanding from here friend! Did you say fishing?! UUUG, I sold my boat about 5 years ago and haven't gone since. What was I thinking?

I tell you what improved my photography tremendously. Go to Hobby Lobby or Michael's and purchase some matte board. I have a piece of black, light gray, light blue, and white. It's a large enough backdrop to look like infinity if you curl it up similar to what you did with the paper in that one pic. Then, go and get GE Reveal bulbs for the lighting. Turn off all other lighting and just have the Reveal bulbs shining on your model. Snap away. The reveal bulbs are pure light and camera's done pick it up as yellow or green light.

Another avenue to pursue, thanks for the tip.

Stik, Vol,and Mike, being familiar with all your work , that is high praise indeed. I figured on an OOB build but it cried out for something. I saw two pics that spurred me to weather it: one was Hellcats on the Hornet in which they appeared to have sortied,re-upped and sortied again all day long, don't know the action but they were covered in powder residue and what looked like smoke and oil, filthy. The second pic was the British escort carrier Emperor carrying F6F's off the Phillipines and clearly on deck was a Cat with Invasion stripes ( they killed me, I had to do them over twice ).Anywho, knowing that His Majestys services lacked the maintenance man power of the U.S. I put 2 and 2 together and ended up with that. Thanks.

I think it turned out pretty darn good! How'd you create the faded/dusty look? I like how it blends the paint with the decals some

Thanks Rooster, I used chalks for the first time almost exclusively, rubbing them in and finished with a light mist of wood deck tan.

Templar, you did some top notch model building there. You kit challenges, overcame them, and came out with a beautiful scale model at the end. Very well done sir!

With each day being nicer than the prior out here on the right coast, and between beach, golf, camping, fishing;and trips to Maine,Vermont and Sturgis, I managed to mangle this bird together during the course of the summer. I encountered the same issues as with their AM6; canopy fit,bad step in fuselage, and decals that required hot water and tender handling. I assume they were both older releases as I've read good things here about Hasegawa kits.

I won't list the self-inflicted wounds as they will be apparent.I've been fiddling around with camera settings and lighting, trying to get better pics but have settled on the fact that I need a better camera. On it.I've picked the best of the bunch and the difference in the composition is obvious. All comments, criticisms and suggestions are,as always, welcomed.
