Kenetic 1/48th F-18c

Any body tackled this yet? I'm about 2/3 of the way finished. The windscreen area needed some serious work to fit. But the thing that really is a pain is there is a pretty significant step created when the nose section is mated to the main fuselage. Anybody figure out a work around yet?

I don't seem to recall anything that bad. I rather enjoyed the build. I know I won't build another Hasegawa kit again, except maybe for the one I've got in the stash.

Nice build, on mine right where the nose section in front of the nose gear well up to the LEX I had an approx .5 mm step where the main fuselage is just a tad wider than the nose section

You could cut a length of sprue, just slightly longer the the opening of the rear of the nose piece and wedge it in there...widening the nose section to match the fuselage section.

I have no experience with this particular kit, but I have done just that, to widen fuselages to meet the wingroot, when there's a gap there.

There's a bulkhead that fits right there, actually a site called "Doog's Models" has a step-by-step quick build video which points it out pretty well.
