Academy 1/72 Sopwith Camel
Posted by Justinryan215 on Saturday, December 3, 2016 9:00 AM

I bought a couple  1/72 scale biplanes, the Sopwith, a Fokker Triplane, and a Spad on amazon for a couple of dollars each, with the intention of using the Sopwith and the Fokker in a "snoopy vs the red baron" set up for my family's christmas village setup.

Here is the Sopwith:

Ya gotta rig that sucker!!!!WhistlingPropeller

Fun little kit, for sure. I built mine, along with an Eduard DH.2, to hang on the tree over the village. But...I haven't put up the big tree and village/train in the last two years. I ended up putting the Camel in the display case at my airport.

Here's my pair together.

Yes, I did rig them...and NO...I did not enjoy one single second of doing that!

I, for one, would like to see yours in the village setting!

Thanks guys for the compliments !   I'm not sure I have the patience to attempt rigging this guy up...at least not right now!  lol  I might start building that little Fokker tomorrow morning while the family is still asleep.  as for the question of where is snoopy...I haven't found a small enough snoopy to fit in that pilot seat!

I guess it wouldn't be super difficult to sculpt one....
