Along with the Meteors I'm working on I have done up the Special Hobby E.28/39. It appears I am in an early jets mode. Will the He-178 be far down the road? The E.28/39 is one of the better Special Hobby kits I have built. The only issue I had was with the landing gear, if built as the parts come the airplane would look like it was on stilts. I cut 1/4 inch off the top of the main gear struts and it still sits higher than it should. If doing this one again I would set the trailing beam lowers at a different angle so the yokes are nearly parallel to the ground. If the airplane had no fuel in it it might look like mine (I hope). It was not a very large airplane. Perhaps Dudley the new guy over inflated the struts.
The instrument panel has nice relief and detail. I painted it black, dry brushed the details, and filled the faces with Future. Eduard seat belts. I blocked up the seat about 3/16", it looked way too low.
