Good job on the Peashooter. It's been one of my favorite aircraft. I have built a few in various scales but have never seen one in black.

Thanks everyone for your kind words. It was a fun project overall, for the exception of the rigging! One needed extreme patience to deal with that exercise. I plan on building more 1/72 P-26's in the future.

I understood black to be a tough color to paint, but wouldn't know from your work. An interesting subject.

Thanks Toshi! It's only the second kit I've ever rigged (the last was 20 years ago.) By the time I was done,the last ounce of my patience was spent!

That is a very cool looking build, I love it. It has a great significant story background and is a unique kit to see. Not something you view a lot of. Fantastic job on the black and the rigging!

Here's my completed Revell 1/72 P-26A Peashooter. Wheeler Field, Hawaii, December 1941.The scheme depicts one used shortly after the Pearl Harbor attack. Survivng P-26's were painted overall black and used a night fighters (in case the Japanese sent waves of bomber aircraft, which never happened.) They were used in this role briefly until more modern types became available. For the rigging I used 28 gauge craft wire, courtesy of my wife. She designs and makes jewelry as a hobby, so there's plenty of wire to choose from!
