One of these days I do plan to model a ramp queen, though it will be a US plane, since those are the ones I have seen in the junkyards on the bases I had access to.  Probably do something I have seen at China Lake.  Brutal sunshine in southwest US seems to really do a job aging old stuff.

Hello!

Well the one shown above is the MiG-21UM variant, a two seater trainer.

Pawel

Hello!

The great thing in Krakow is that your access to the MiGs isn't restricted in any way - you can stick your head in every opening and touch the aircraft at will. That takes a toll on the exhibits, but for many people in Poland is the only opportunity to check out how the aircraft FEEL like. It's also great for the modellers to take a look.

How did you like Poland, by the way?

Thanks for sharing and have a nice day

I've spotted interesting blue spheres inside the aircraft structure. Probably compressed air tanks. The Soviets love compressed air for their pneumatics. The problem is there is no compressor to re-charge them, so if the pilot loves playing with his compressed air he will eventually run out and brakes won't work!

Guess what, I've photographed TWO aircraft at the Polish Air Force Museum in Krakow. This aircraft is heavily weathered, according to the latest guidelines from Mig Productions. Note the paint chipping, LOL.
