1/48 Hobby Boss F3H-2 Demon

Recently completed this fantastic model from Hobby Boss. The detail is  really good right out of the box but the customer wanted a resin pit which added a little more detail. The ki fit was very good but it did have some tricky building steps.

Wow.  Beautiful 1950s fighter.  Very nicely done.  Nice work on the pit.

Absolutely outstanding. Maybe someday when I grow up I'll come close to achieving this level.

Fantastic job!    That's my favorite plane.   I have that kit in my stash.    What resin pit did you use?

Thanks guys for the nice comments.

John

This was a commission and he supplied the resin pit made by Aires. I have this Demon in my stash ans started it and will not be using the Aires pit. Do yourself a favor and use the kit's pit and get the Eduard FE582 color pe set instead. This will make your build A LOT easier and actually more detailed plus you won't have to be fighting with fitting issues.

Looks great!  As an old MAC employee, I love to see nice builds of company planes.

Sounds good!    Nice to have someone tell me it's better not to spend the extra $ on it.   will look into the color PE set.

She's real beauty! Love those earlier high vis paint schemes.
