another interesting kit
Posted by ardvark002 on Thursday, February 16, 2017 6:32 PM

Hi all, Just purchased a Czech Bell-77 kit, looked on forum search without much info. Anyone built one?  I think it looks kinda like a cross between a Ryder R-4 and a F4U. Canopy looks right I think, just way back. Will like building it. Thanks to everyone for responding to all my questions,I really appericate!  I'm trying to figure out my computer so I can post pics. Really want to share some of my builds.  Aardvark    Keep on modeling

Aardvark,

I've not built the kit nor had I ever heard of the aircraft but I'm a relative newbie compared to some of the modelers on this site. The only review I found on the 'net was this one:

http://modelingmadness.com/review/allies/us/usaaf/ran77.htm

I'm sure you've already seen it but I thought I'd include the link anyway.

BTW, if you want to post pictures on Finescale in the aircraft forum, first go to the Testing Forum here on FineScale and you'll see several people who've contributed tutorials on how to post pictures on this site. I had some pictures which I took down on how to post from Photobucket but the verbiage is still relevent - that one's here:

And one thread on posting from Flikr here:

I hope they help.

Have the kit- it is in my stash, and have opened it and looked at it, but have not started building yet, so can't help much.  But I've built several Czech kits and had good luck with them and fine results.
