1/72 Revell Me-262 from 1982

I'm trying to get back into making models and decided to start off with a kit I got years ago. It's a very simple kit about 30 parts so you can imagine it's not the most detailed version of the 262.

I just wanted to know generally speaking is it better to paint the model before or after assembling the plane? I was watching a few videos online and it seems like most are putting it together after they paint all the parts.

If so, then after I clean the parts in soapy water I plan to hit it with a spray based primer. I sometimes find that this then makes it difficult for the cement to adhere on surfaces as the dried primer gets in the way of the bonding. What do you guys recomend regarding when to paint it and the primer situation?

Generally, I pant as much as is practical before busting out the glue. For some reason, I really don't like dodging things when painting, so for basically all the interior pieces, I'll paint them seperately, then assemble everything.
Basically the only thing I'll paint after constructin is the main exterior colors.

I am the opposite. I will assemble as much as possable before painting. With an aircraft, i will put as much of the pit together as i will be able to get to with a brush for weathering. And then put together any sub assebleies as i can as well.

Best thing is to try out what you think and see how it works. Also check out WiP threads and youcan get some good ideas from those.

I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so
