I have read that the scheme on that aircraft at that time may have been a field mix, and possibly the basis for upcoming 74/75/76 scheme. The factory applied 74/75/76 scheme did not appear until 1941. 109E's from the factory were being delivered in the 02/71/65 scheme in 1940 and side mottling was added at the units during the Battle of Britain period to better blend with conditions. Galland flew a few different 109Es during the Summer/Fall of 1940 and the earlier mounts almost certainly would have been in 65/02/71. His later aircraft had the Grays, but the question then is if they were custom field mixes, or an early application of the new colors.
