1/72 Chance Vought Corsair.

Hello fellow modellers!

A recently purchased model kit on eBay has managed its way to my workbench.Geeked

The kit seems to have been made using an old FROG or NOVO mold. It came with no instructions or decals; some parts are not complete while others need a lot of work (sanding and reshaping). BTW, all of the parts present tons of flash Sad.

Work has already been started, so a copy of the instructions or any "spare parts" for this particular model (1/72 Chance Vought F4U Corsair), will be highly appreciated.

Thanks for your attention.

Regards,

rmontesbCool

They can be found on this site:

http://www.cavallar.ch/model/

It's a one-page instruction sheet plus fotos of the color profile that comes with the package.

You know, for less than $15, Amazon has several 1/72 Tamiya Corsairs available.  That's a lotta bang for your buck. These things are nuts - industry standard, almost perfect, incredible fit, great detail....to my way of thinking, $15 is GREAT value for a super high quality model.

In truth, I'd rather have a great starting point - it's ALWAYS easier to get an awesome result with one of these kits than trying to turn a sow's ear into a silk purse.  Those little Tamiya 1/72 scale kits are the bee's knees.

Cheers, LeeTree

Thanks Lee for that info.

I'll surely take a look at those other Corsair model kits.

In the meantime, work will continue with my FROG or NOVO Corsair.

Nice!

I would like to build one and kitbash it in to one of the post WW2 versions like the F4U-5N radar equiped version or F4U-5P photo recon version.

Chasing the ultimate build.
