With VF-1 F-14B's mixed in..

Aircrafts mostly Trumpeter with some Pitroad (S-3s, I ran out of supply). Dressed with Starfighter Decals CVW-17 set (Last intruder cruise), bless them for making the set available, curses for the actual application process, individual aircraft numbers, CAG birds and all...

Still working on the 2 squadron of F/A-18cs...

You are more patient and skilled than I. I have a hard enough time with 1/48 decals! The air wing looks great!

Very impressive !    I don't think I've ever seen that kindof detail in 1/700 scale A/C.

Are you building the Carrier to house them ?

NOICE!!!!! I'm going through the same process for CVW-9 off the Enterprise in 1968. Time-consuming and tedious are two ways to describe the task! Just out of curiosity, did you pick squadrons that you liked? VF-1 F-14B's caught my attention, as the Wolfpack was disestablished before they got Bravo's. Regardless, your air wing looks spectacular.

Thanks and glad you folks likey, the pain was almost worth it! Stick out tongue

This lot is for a commission of mostly CVW-17 plus VF-1 squadron (in lateish scheme) and some A-4 in aggressor schemes.

There are actually PE sets for these aircraft from BigBlueBoy (and an older set from Gold Medal Models as well) to really go nuts (under carriage wells, pylons, refueling probes, ladders you name it) and if one's keen, can hollow out the cockpit + vacformed replacement as 'open' as well, now I just don't have enough life points for such a project.
