Sounds right. Most of the planking may be wood. My Seiran dolly was part wood and part metal from what I could see.

Anybody know what material these were made from?

I'm building Tamiya's Rufe, and it looks like the bottom is made from metal and the cradles from wood.  Does this sound right?

I build 1/48 scale WW2 fighters.
