That's Fagot, and not faggot. The Russians, like anybody else, usually had their own names for various aircraft types. The Su-25 Frogfoot was called the Grach, a type of crow, by its pilots. Much like the F-16 and A-10 became the Viper and Warthog to their respective drivers. Not officially, but...

Nice!  You have to remember it was us and not the Russians coming up with these names.  Fishpot really isn't so bad when you consider that the MiG 15's NATO name was Fagot...

That has a good weathered appearance. As a Soviet interceptor should. 

As far as the NATO codename goes, the first letter of the name denotes the general type: F for fighters, B for bombers, C for cargo/transports, etc.) and the number of syllables denotes engine type: single syllable names are propellor aircraft, while two syllables are for jets. But as far as what words under those guidelines are chosen, that is good question.
