the top turret revised
and for now i think is enough....
bye
Working on: Breda BA-65 1/48
You're off to a great start. I did something similar a few summers ago with one of these kits. And you're getting the interior colors correct! No interior green was used on Marauders.
F is for FIRE, That burns down the whole town!
U is for URANIUM... BOMBS!
N is for NO SURVIVORS...

Thank you,
it seems that all the surplus stocks of interior green have been used restoring old museum aircrafts never trust the kit instructions or restored examples are two rules of the game

Your interior looks fantastic!

Exactly. I used every image of Flak Bait that I could find online as reference. She was stored in 1945 condition, not restored. A perfect time capsule for us 75 years later.
Very convincing super detailing! I'm more than impressed.

Flak Bait is getting put back together by the NASM staff as we speak, so it is a good time to get photos of all the nooks and crannies. It is just getting cleaned up, not "restored" as in the case of the MAPS B-26-0 which they slathered with interior green when they were delivered in NMF.
WIP: Monogram 1/72 B-26 (Snaptite) as 73rd BS B-26, 40-1408, torpedo bomber attempt on Ryujo
Monogram 1/72 B-26 (Snaptite) as 22nd BG B-26, 7-Mile Drome, New Guinea
Minicraft 1/72 B-24D as LB-30, AL-613, "Tough Boy", 28th Composite Group
if i'm not wrong some areas of Flak Bait interiors still wear a protective transparent blue film over the bare alluminium.
Hope to see it soon cleaned up!
That is superb super-detailing. Looks quite authentic.
WOW! Now that is some super detailing! That looks like a ton of fun!!

Thanks,
the building was not easy in some points...
....but who sands wins!
Next step coming soon.

Yes, I saw that on wing interior areas in photos.
You are making rapid progress on this build! Excellent!
With all that beautiful interior work you could have made a cut-away version of this it looks so good!
In the pattern: Scale Shipyard's 1/48 Balao Class Sub! leaning out the list...NOT! Ha, added to it again - Viper MkVii, 1/32 THUD & F-15J plus a weekend madness build!
Excellent work sir! Your detailing is just superb. I'll be following your build closely.

Don't know hw "WOW" translates to Italian, but I'm passed impressed.
Thanks to all,
the rapidity is due to the fact that the model was completed 4 months ago and the shots were taken during the building.
@goldhammer: WOW is WOW all around the world! in italian it can be translated in a dozen of words, the most of them is better not be reported
WOW is right.
This humbles my B-26 by far and it got a 3rd place at the Orlando IPMS show
I'm finally retired. Now time I got, money I don't.

ah ha!
Lananda,
The level of fineness is quite impressive and very realistic.
And you are an excellent photographer as well !
Chris
thanks again,

the GMC tanker is the beautiful Tamiya kit
and at last the diorama composed:
This is the end...i bet that in a couple o weeks some chinese firm will announce a new kit of the Flying Prostitute....
All that hard work that you put into this model really paid off. You created a beautiful B-26 and the diorama sets it off nicely.

Beautiful work indeed! And an excellent setting for it as well.
Even if some Chinese model company does come out with a Marauder, it will likely cost two to three times as much and have multiple shape & accuracy issues. That is usually the case.
That is absolutely magnificent!!
How long did you work on this?
Absolutely amazing detail. Your completed model and diorama is spectacular. I built this kit in 1981 and only added a few details in the aft "waist" area consiting of the ammo feed and boxes and a heater/defroster hose in the nose compartment. I was mainly wanting to have a diorama with the engines running up and landing lights on. I did succeed in getting a few "realistic" pics looking like a dawn run up prior to a mission.
Clear Left!

The shots at sunset looks fantastic!
@Brindos: i started on janauary 2015 and the model was completed about on october 2016. The truck and the base took the rest of time.
That is some really stunning work. With all that extra detail, i see see why it took 2 years. Time well spent. Very nice dio as well. Great build all round, look forward to seeing some more of your builds.

Absolutely supreme workmanship. Artwork at it's best! Never seen anything like it before!
I have to say WOW too!!! Beautiful model of my favorite twin-engine bomber.
Hope you don't mind but if I ever get around to building my kit I'd like to use some of your interior shots for reference. I probably won't super-detail the interior like you did but I'd like some idea on how to paint stuff.
