I also added interior to mine, but not that detailed.  I did it in the silver livery too.  I also added a resin Engines 'n Things engine.  The kit engine leaves a lot to be desired.  I happened to have a book on Matty Laird, which helped with the build.

haha, ya I thought about adding some rockets from P-47 but didn't.

Some people go crazy with this kit, but I wasn't up for that much of work. I think one of the members here did this or something similar.

I used some putty to remove the "click on' canopy clip indent.

Nicely done, looks like a late 30's pursuit "what if" aircraft.  Now if it just had some cowl or wing guns.......  like what you added to the pit.

Okay. I have to say it.

that is cool! You've got an old classic kit with scratch building, scribing, and a custom paint scheme.

it just looks like you had a good time.  :)

Picked this up for $3 a few months ago.

Thought this would be a good kit for me to get back to modeling.

First time using, Tamiya Acrylic paint, Panel Accent, decal adhesive, Markfit etc.

Well, this is a very cheap kit. I was just gonna build and paint, but had to add some detail

haha,

It had the extruded panel line...what's the term?  So, scribed some.

Who cares! I am having fun.  Going with a wwII camo look.

I gotta try the oil wash next time. Tamiya Panel accent is good for the panel, but wasn't good enough to was the whole plane.
