Hi Bill,
Yes there was a Volksfighter just behind the ME262, unfortunately I did not bring any pictures this time.

I am aware of the problem with restored items.

Just strikes me that I would have done the same, and probably painted the fabric as well.

By the way, can someone check out this picture and tell me what shade of grey this is :)

Here are some pictures of the ME262.

You can see the Volksfighter just behind the right turbine of the ME262.

The mounting bracket for the rockets is made of wood.

Hi Bish,
Thank you, luckily todays smartphones do a good job doubling for cameras.

About the undercarriage I am not quite sure either, just that it is more grey then I expected. Will stick to XF-22 but skip the XF49. Used to mix them 1:1.

Best Regards

Thanks, Johan.

Any other pictures would be welcome. As I recall from my one trip there, a Volksfighter was there?

I'm not too familiar with this particular restoration. It does bear repeating though that such examples are only reasonably reliable for historic record.

Hi,
Just back from a visit to the Munich Air Museum, Flugwerft Schleißheim.
So many interesting subjects and then I realize my camera is still in Sweden.
Anyway, here are some closeups of a BF109, check out the color of the landing gear.
A ME262 next to it (will post later) had the same color.
Interestingly both also had the wheel wells painted in the same color as the bottom camouflage (Lichtblau).

Best Regards
Johan
