Markings:

"White 110", VF-84, USS Bunker Hill, 1945.

Decals: Techmod

The rest of the kit was done OOB, chipping was done by tapping a toothpick which was dipped in silver enamel paint onto the surface of the model.

Great looking Corsair, and the chipping really catches the eye.  I know that there are many good, but complicated, techniques to achieve realistic chipping.  However, yours looks wonderfully convincing with the simpler method.  Congrats!

Your 1/72 Corsair is very nicely done. Your chipping technique seems to have yielded excellent results. Well done indeed.

By the way, thanks for reminding me that I need to get it in gear and revive my Tamiya 1/72 F4U-1D Corsair WIP. Way over due for some progress on it and an update to my thread.

Thank You for sharing. Joe
