Looking for 1/72 2-seat cockpit, like for a B-52 or similar

I'll admit it; I'm trolling for information.

I'm working on a scratchbuild/kitbash 1/72 spaceship. I'm using a couple of large Estes rockets (and other available parts--everything's a part) to make a 1/72 version of the classic Centuri Taurus (the first one I ever built).

What I'd like to do is build at least a little of the interior--the cockpit (2-pilots, like in one of the big B-series American bombers), possibly some of the work stations right behind the cockpit, and if I get really into it, a cargo section with open-down bomb-bay hatches.

(Yeah, I'm having fun.)

The bad thing is that my google-fu, which used to be not so bad, is failing me utterly now. I'm searching for add-in kits of the cockpit (or one similar), figuring that I'll have to have such as a base before I can customize it (and make it fit the nose cone). Yet I'm coming up absolutely empty on finding any such add-in kits. If I have to I can just scratch-build one, but I wanted it to be as 'authentic' as possible.

(The thought occurred to me to make a quicky cast of cockpits from a couple of my larger Zoids--the cockpits of Iron Kong and Mad Thunder are both large and multi-man--and if need be that's the way I'll go.)

So I'm asking if anyone has any idea where I might find add-in detail kits of at least the two-man (wide) cockpit, possibly of the job stations located behind the cockpit. I'll happily support some add-in modeler if it's available.

If it's not out there in 1/72 scale (my preferred scale), so be it. But it hurts nothing to ask.

Thanks!

Well, for side by side modern two seaters, you may want to look for other types as well besides the BUFF. Some that come to mind are: F-111, A-6, S-3, E-2, B-66/A-3, A-37, B-1.... go to Squadron, Sprue Brothers, or whoever you like and look at the lines by True Details, Aries, Verlinden, etc. for their various 1/72 cockpits. Perhaps one of those will catch your fancy.

Good options; thanks for the heads-up. Heading out to look up cockpits for the ones you name.

Actually, someone else took me to task ("Everything B is a fighter bomber. Want to narrow it down?") for not being more specific (I'm not a plane person!). While out trying to narrow down the scope of my wanderings, I found a photo review of the Revell 1/72 A400M kit. That had not only the cockpit layout that I was dreaming of, but most of the after-the-cockpit stuff that I want to build in. Wow. Talk about serendipity.

Perhaps fortunate that that kit seems to be out of production--or at least priced like it is--so I can't drop a bunch of dimes on it for parts that would be the wrong size for my build anyway. *sigh* Still, figured I might have to scratch-build to make it work; now I get to spread my wings a little.

Many thanks for the alternatives; going to look those up.

How about something like an EA-6B cockpit? Lots of interesting screens and gadgety things. Or maybe some helicopter with a suitable ASW suite.
