I've watched that series last week. I have two minor complaints; one, there are not enough episodes, and two, the Fokker tri plane wasn't a restoration, but a kit build. It's really cool to watch the guy build it, but I dont think it really fits in with the rest of those restored vintage air frames.

Told ya it was minor lol.

Need more episodes!  :)

Thanks, Brandon.

Stuff on Netflix can be challenging to find if one doesn't know it is there.

Plane Resurrection on Netflix

I just stumbled upon this short 6 part series on Netflix called "Plane Resurrection". As the title indicates it is about the overhaul and rebirth of vintage AC. The first episode is a P-51 that hadn't flown since '58 and the second was about the only surviving Mk 1 Hurricane that flew in the battle of Brittain. What wonderful stories and coverage of their past and the rebuilding process along with facts about the planes that I simply never knew.

They talked about the exact reason the P-51 whistled while the Spitfire did not when they both used the same engine. And why the Hurricanes and Spitfires had black and white underside paint and when and why they changed to blue. They also discussed the camo colors of what, where and when, and why those were done. Fasinating stuff.

If you get a chance to watch these shows, they are a must.

And special for you Bish, they point out several times that the Spitfire did not win the war for GB, but rather the Hurricane did most of the work, had more kills and was used nearly double the amount as the Spitfire. Great stuff.
